Learn to Enjoy The Snow with our Ski Instructors!
Our Ski School is held by ten great Ski Instructors, ready to guide you through the start of skiing or snowboarding!
Ski lessons are available in English, Finnish and Swedish – for participants of all ages!
When paid with the lesson, you get the equipment with a special price. You don’t need a Ski pass during the lesson.
Ski School is closed for the summer – lessons can be booked again in the 2025-2026 Ski Season!
Private lesson for one person or a group
A lesson (50 min) can be reserved for one beginner, or your own group of two to three.
All the participants of the lesson will be using the same equipment – skis or snowboards – including the instructor.
The lesson is most effective, when the participants are on about the same level of skills.
The Lesson Proceeds at Your Pace
The guidance begins on the flat, and practices lead us to the Little Slope and the rope lift on the side of it.
A Tip – we don’t recommend reserving more than one lesson in a row. It’s good to digest what has been learned for a while first!
It’s never too late to try something new
Never tried skis or a snowboard? With the tips of our instructor you get a good start!
We cannot offer instruction for more advanced technics or tricks. However beginner adults are always welcome to try and learn something new!
Book a Lesson Beforehand
There is a limited number of lessons in a day – book early to make sure you get yours!
Need to rent equipment?
If you also need rental equipment, we advice you to come to Snowpark Parra at least 30 minutes before the lesson starts. That way you have time to get them from the Rental Shop!
After that, you can wait for the instructor at the flagpoles close to the lifts, they will meet you there.
Use own equipment?
If you have your own equipment, you can come to the flagpoles – close to the lifts – as the lesson begins. The instructor is easy to recognize as you see their red ”Hiihtokoulu” jacket!
What kind of equipmet best supports your learning?
When learning, it is important that the skis or the snowboard isn’t too long – in Ski School it should be about 30 cm shorter that the participant themselves, so that it doesn’t reach their chin.
We advice you to use the specially priced set for Ski School participants – even if you have own equipment.
Ski Lessons for a larger group?
Dozens of schools make trips to Parra every year – and we get to teach the first steps of skiing for a large number of students!
We have experience on teaching various groups, e.g. an international youth camp and entire workplaces on recreation days.
